Graphite electrodes
Graphite electrodes, copper-graphite electrodes are essential materials in the metallurgical industry with high welding features. Good electrical conductivity, oxidation resistance and low material consumption are the main advantages of graphite electrodes for welding, copper-graphite electrodes. When welding, it is important to adhere to the recommended current ranges. The current is selected in accordance with the coating to be welded and based on the thickness of the electrodes.
Graphite electrodes for welding, copper-graphite electrodes provide high operation rate and durability of structures; they give good results in welding.
The electrodes have a low specific gravity and a sufficient degree of softness, which makes them very convenient to use. When welding, graphite electrodes, copper-graphite electrodes retain a pointed end; this contributes to the integrity and accuracy of the cut. Such electrodes are much better than carbon ones.
Electrodes are often used for electric arc furnaces, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and special alloys.
Appearance of the electrodes is dark gray with a specific metallic sheen. Graphite electrodes, copper-graphite electrodes have high electrical conductivity and heat resistance, which is especially important in welding metal structures.
Electrodes are made in special molds, and the work pieces are subsequently subject to burning process.

Needle coke
Needle coke is a raw material used for the manufacture of ultra-reliable graphite electrodes that have the necessary properties such as low thermal expansion coefficient, high electrical conductivity, high specific gravity, high mechanical strength, high graphite content and low levels of sulfur, nitrogen and ash, and operating at high specific current loads (up to 35 A/cm2).
Needle coke has such name because it has elongated structures similar to thick needles or sintered fibers.
